Problem with People that purchase Macs

I have read numerous articles that portray mac users as men among boys. I have read that mac users on average hold higher than average IQ’s, are more computer savvy and generally are better people than non mac users. Get real, being a Mac user I can honestly say that using a mac on a daily basis can be frustratingly simple. The higher IQ holds true because Mac is known as being the computer of choice for any one involved in the arts, and thus more creative then us normal folk. Another reason why mac users tend to be smarter is that Cletus and his clan of inbred rednecks probably do not own a mac but they definitely own the PC that they saw on one of their weekly journeys to Walmart.

Mac users fall into three basic categories: of course you got the fan boy, then comes the mac geek, and finally the newbie. I distinguish between the apple fan boy and the mac geek on one simple idea; fan boys are idiots. They blindly gobble anything that Apple decides to throw their way. They purchase products without knowing a thing about them, and they take the constant kick in the balls that Apple gives their customers. Don’t get me wrong Apple is a great company that offers stylish, innovative, if slightly more expensive then necessary products.

If I had to make a recommendation to a computer layman I would  definitely recommend a Mac over a PC. The problem is that at the price that apple charges any person with any knowledge of computers can supercharge a PC for a fraction of the price. Now to be honest,  the only type of Mac user that I can stand is the Mac Geek. At least the geek takes time to study the equipment that they are using and can go beyond the simple interface that the Mac provides and get into the bones of the machine. When I visit a Newbies house and they hear that I can handle myself around the Mac, automatically they sit me in front of their brand new 24 inch imac and ask me to fix it. The common mistake that most people make is that they have no business owning Macs. I wouldn’t care if they went to their local Walmart and picked up a $300 piece of crap PC, what difference does it make? they are only going to use it for surfing the internet and handling their emails. Why waste such a beautiful machine like an iMac on such mundane tasks. I shake my head every time I see that. The Apple fan boy is the lowest of the low, but that holds true for any type of fan boy. They constantly proclaim that any apple product is a must have without knowing why. They are the type of people that will send attachments in rtf instead of exporting it into something more universal. They do this for the simple fact that they think since they have jumped on the Apple bandwagon the world has no other choice but to immediately follow suit. They are the type of people that proclaim that the Macbook Air is the greatest laptop released,  without realizing that for a Macbook Pro price the consumer gets the slowest computer Apple produces. Like I said before, Apple releases innovative products that the world will eventually have to either mimic or improve upon but don’t tell me that all Apple products are worth owning. Apple TV anyone?
